Madonna honours Jackson during London O2 concert

Madonna honoured Michael Jackson during her London concert at the O2 Arena, where the late singer was due to stage his much-awaited comeback.

The Queen of Pop hailed the late King of Pop, describing him as one of the greatest performers the world has seen.

A huge picture of Jackson as a child was displayed above the stage as the `Material Girl' hitmaker carried out a short dance melody dedicated to the late star.

One of her dancers, clothed in Jackson''s trademark black hat, wooed fans with a moonwalk across the stage.

Jackson''s greatest hits, Billie Jean and Wanna Be Startin'' Somethin, were also performed in short versions.

"To one of the greatest performers the world has ever known - Michael Jackson," the Daily Star quoted Madonna as saying.

Jackson had been due to kick-start his This Is It tour at the same venue this month.

He died aged 50 on June 25 after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest allegedly triggered by an overdose of prescription drugs.

Kevin Jonas bagged his girl with 210 diamond-encrusted engagement ring

The ring that Kevin Jonas gave to his girlfriend Danielle Deleasa, when he asked for her hand in marriage, has 210 diamonds in it.

It is ornamented with a three-carat, cushion-cut diamond set in double shake platinum band with round pave diamonds.

The pop star gave special instructions to Jacob and Co to get it done.

"He had done his homework, He knew exactly what he wanted," the New York Daily News quoted the company's president, Angela Arabo, as having told People magazine.

The Jonas Brothers member was very satisfied with the jeweler's work.

Arabo added: "When he got the ring, he called me and said it was the most beautiful ring and it was exactly how he imagined. He was really excited. He couldn''t wait to propose to her."

The 21-year-old proposed Deleasa when he made a surprise visit to her New Jersey home the day after his concert at Vancouver.

She said: "I didn''t see the ring for a while because I couldn''t believe what he just asked me, I was looking at him, like, `Are you serious?'' When he pulled out that ring, I was like `Oh gosh.'' I said something like `Oh my god,'' and then I started crying."

However, the wedding date is still not fixed.

Courtney Love trashes her high-end hotel room in just 8hrs

New York, July 4 : Rock musician Courtney Love is said to have trashed her high-end hotel room at The Inn on Irving Place in just eight hours.

Love, 44, was visiting New York on June 17 with her 16-year-old daughter Frances Bean, and sources have revealed that she completely ruined her accommodations.

The hard-partying widow of Kurt Cobain left dirty needles, and used feminine hygiene products behind, and also flooded the floor.

"She caused so much damage in eight hours and wreaked so much havoc. It was actually kind of funny . . . minus the 5,000 dollars in repairs," the New York Post quoted an insider as saying.

Representatives for Love and The Inn on Irving Place had no comment to make.

Desperate Watson “pounced” on Grint to finish kissing scene in Harry Potter flick

Emma Watson has revealed she was so keen on finishing her much anticipated kissing scene with Rupert Grint in `Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince' that she "pounced" on him.

The crazy publicity of the scene had made the actress want to just end doing the shot.

"I pounced on him, I was so desperate to get it over with." the Telegraph quoted her as telling on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross.

She also said that she had not expected to grab the role of Hermione in the wizard series, when she went for audition few years back.

"By the time I got to audition, I was in pieces, I didn''t know I had the part."

Watson also spoke about not really missing her childhood.

"I never felt like I was missing out... we were able to be kids because we were together, whatever weird thing we were doing," she said.

Meanwhile, Rupert Grint has denied saying whether Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry Porter, or he had the "worst crush" on Emma Watson.

He said in an interview with FMH magazine: "Have Daniel or I ever hit on Emma? Well, she''s quite popular with the cast, as for who has the worst crush on her - me or Radcliffe

Madge’s foul language for tour promotion upsets Russian leaders

Russian dignitaries are upset with Madonna over the use of foul language to promote an upcoming show in St. Petersburg.

The Material Girl addressed the Russian crowd by saying "It''s f**king great" at the beginning of an online audio teaser for her `Sticky and Sweet' concert in Palace Square, scheduled for August 2.

According to Contactmusic, members of the legislative assembly in St. Petersburg have addressed Governor Valentina Matvienko with a proposal to sue Madonna for her comments.

This is not the first time that Madonna''s Palace Square show has come under fire.

Many city officials fear that the concert could offend the moral and religious sensibilities of the citizens of St. Petersburg.

Mikhail Piotrovsky, the head of the city''s Heritage Museum, has asked Madonna not to swear during the show.

Rumer Willis set to guest star on ‘90210’

American actress Rumer Willis is all set to guest star in the TV series `90210'.

Willis, 20, who is the eldest daughter of actors Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, is reportedly set to play a "punky cute lesbian".

According to Access Hollywood, she will be joining the show as the character "Gia".

"Gia is a punky cute lesbian who isn't afraid to speak her mind," the New York Daily News quoted a rep for The CW as saying.

''British Zac Efron'' for UK version of ‘High School Musical’

Bosses at Disney are looking for youngsters who can do Zac Efron's role in a UK version of `High School Musical' on their new channel.

The company is looking for UK-produced formats of shows like `High School Musical' and `Hannah Montana' for the new Disney XD channel, including entertainment series focused on music and sports.

"We want formats that enable us to break new kid talent. We want to find the next Zac Efron in the UK and we think we can. It''s about empowering kids and kids want to sing, they want to dance they want to perform. We''re looking for formats that obviously work in the UK but can also work around Europe and globally," the Telegraph quoted Jonathan Bosely, vice president of programming, Disney UK and Ireland.

He added: "It''s about aspirational characters, great stories and a sense of achievement. What is the High School Musical for boys? The Hannah Montana? These are the things we''re really interested in - supercharged entertainment formats."

Disney XD, which will soon be launched in the UK, will replace Jetix and will primarily target boys between six and 14.

High School Musical has a viewer-ship of near 225 million.

Starring Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, it first became a phenomenon in 2006 when it was aired on the Disney Channel.
