Sometimes playful yet threatening, sometimes bashful...yet, enigmatic, sometimes powerful yet romantic.. these are just some of the various Aamir Khans you will see in Ghajini.

A bare chested Aamir wearing a see through red shirt begins the visual treat of Ghajini’s first look of just 60 seconds. With each shot of Aamir, there are alternate shots of Asin, who plays the female lead in the film. Lulled by a false sense of well being with a well balanced music track, the tempo of the teaser suddenly changes with the close up of a booted leg as it crashes into a face. The pace picks up and the various moods of the film climax to a crescendo of music.

Here is how Aamir showed the various moods of the film with references from his earlier films.

Playful: In silhouette, Aamir can be seen leaping across the frame from one end to another a la the pehela nasha song from Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar.

Threatening: A close up of a rough and well worn booted leg hits the ground, literally crashing into a man’s face, even as the dust from the impact on the ground is settling on the victim’s face...a la Ghulam.

Bashful: The playful Aamir is visible as he doffs his hat to an imaginary suitor, a la Rangeela style.

Enigmatic: The focus and determination to reach his eventual goal brings memories of the farmer in Lagaan.

Powerful: Flanked by two corporates as he marches across a runway tarmac in a crisp looking business outfit, reminds you of the police officer a la Sarforosh.

Romantic: Serenading his love, Aamir looks the same as he did in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.

Ravi Chandran’s visual treat enhanced by AR Rahman’s soulful music,

Ghajini promises to be yet another blockbuster performance from Aamir Khan. A R Murugudoss’ hindi version of his hit Tamil film . Ghajini is in the last leg of post production. Since Aamir had planned the film to release during Diwali, which has since then been delayed because of his hamstring injury, was adamant to keep his Diwali date with the audiences.

Says Aamir, “You should always do what you want to do. Since I could not release the film, here’s my date with Diwali with a first look of the film.

Now I know why a teaser is thus named. Ghajini’s 60 second teaser was annoyingly short, and frustratingly teasing. With almost 2 months to go for this film to release, it does look like a long wait. But well, that’s Aamir Khan for you.
